On 19th and 20th May, SMAFC had the pleasure of hosting our first youth tournament.

What a great weekend it was with some fantastic football on show, some cracking goals and a lot of very talented young footballers.

Thank you goes out to all the players, coaches and parents and referees. Without these guys it’s not possible to hold a tournament.

A big thank you to all the volunteers from the club and beyond who did wonders marshalling the cars, providing food and refreshments, marking pitches at 8am in the morning, sorting out the scoring, the list goes on but these guys behind the scenes worked tirelessly so they deserve a massive shout out for their efforts.

And finally thank you to the businesses who supported the event:

• KC cooling for their fabulous trailer (kept the beers nice and cold!)
• SM News for printing the programs

The weekend wasn’t about winning, but congratulations to all of our Cup and Plate winners!
